The 2008 Cleveland Indians team finished at .500 with an 81-81 record. This year, Manager Eric Wedge expects the Tribe to breakthrough this and compete for the AL Central pennant.

On the 28th of August, Grady Sizemore made his return from injury. In three games since his return he has hit a double, a triple and a home run with six RBI’s and recently slammed a two-run single. “He’s a special athlete and a special player,” manager Sizemore said recently online.

Along with Sizemore, the team has high hopes for Pitcher Jeremy Sowers, 1st Baseman Ryan Garko, Catcher Victor Martinez and DH Travis Hafner.

The fans are beginning to call for Manager Eric Wedge’s job but the franchise looks to be standing by their man. Be sure to get your Cleveland Indians tickets and keep up with the team as it makes its way through the season.

The Indians have won two World Series Titles in 1920 and in 1948 and have captured 5 AL Pennants and 7 Central Division Titles.
