Indians happy to be home after series with Royals

The Cleveland Indians (35-30 1st AL Central) had won three of their last four games before heading to Kansas City for a three game series.  They had no answers for the Royals who swept the series with a 3-2 win last night.

The Tribe’s Michael Martinez had a rough night on third base as he the team gave Jose Ramirez the night off.  Martinez was a part of some of the many errors committed by the team, but a wild throw in the fifth inning and a home run off reliever Bryan Shaw in the eight sealed the Tribes’ doom.

“It’s very frustrating,” Shaw said. “[Tomlin] got us the opportunity to get the win. He got us a chance to win the ballgame. Obviously, I didn’t hold up doing my job, so it stinks for him getting a no-decision out of that.”

The Indians begin the healing process tonight with a three game series against the Chicago White Sox (33-33, 4th AL Central) that will play through Sunday.  Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to get your tickets today and be there to cheer on your Cleveland Indians.
