After taking a foul ball to the head on Sunday night, Indians catcher Carlos Santana will be re-evaluated Tuesday afternoon for concussion symptoms. Santana fell ill on Monday, was sent back to the hotel and did not participate in the 6-2 loss to the Chicago Whitesox.
“We don’t know if he’s sick or he has concussion-like symptoms,” Manager Terry Francona said Monday. “So we sent him back to the hotel and we’ll re-evaluate him and we’ll go from there.”
