Cubs force World Series Game 7

The Chicago Cubs forced a game seven after taking games five and six at home.  Now, the Cubs are back in Cleveland and hoping to finally break the curse of the Goat and deliver a World Series to their fans for the first time since 1908.

“There’s no time to hang your head or feel sorry for yourself,” Mike Napoli said. “We’re about to play in a Game 7 in the World Series.”

The Indians had just watched the Cubs bring the series to a tie after indians-world-series-2getting clobbered 9-3 on the road.  Really, it was kinda over by the end of the third. But now, it all comes down to one last game on the lot, one last warm fall night and there is no reason to hold anything back.

“At this point, we’re all going to find a way to get every last drop out,” said southpaw Andrew Miller.

Starting on the mound in the most anticipated game in modern baseball history will be Corey Kluber ( 18-9, 3.14 ERA) for your Indians and Kyle Hendrix (16-8, 2.13 ERA) for the Chicago Cubs.

“One thing’s for certain,” said Indians first baseman Mike Napoli. “There’s going to be a champion tomorrow.”
