Red Sox Visit Progressive Field to kick off ALDS

Porcello & Bauer Start series

First he led the Red Sox to their first World Series win in over 85 years and now, Cleveland Indians Manager Terry Francona will attempt to do the same with his newest charges.  Although Francona has been with the squad three years this marks the first time since he led the Sox in 2007 against Cleveland that the two teams have met in the ALDS.

indians-playoffs-1“The one thing I think I need to be cognizant of is the players have worked so hard — both sides — to get to this,” Francona said. “So, whatever my feelings are need to remain my feelings, and let the players {get the spotlight}.”

Taking the mound for the Indians will be Trevor Bauer (12-8, 4.26 ERA) who had the best season of his sort career thus far.  Rick Porcello (22-4, 3.15 ERA) will take the mound for the Sox to start the series.  Porcello is now a front runner for the AL’s Cy Young Award. He pitched 5 2/3rd innings for a win in his only start against the Indians this season.

Plenty of great seats and affordable tickets are still available so be sure to grab yours and get out to the ballpark and cheer on your Cleveland Indians.
